Baked Cheddar Tomatoes

- 3 tomatoes, cored and halved
- 3/4 c. bread crumbs (fresh)
- 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
- sugar to taste
- butter (clarified, as needed)
Directions

1Place tomatoes on greased baking sheet and sprinkle salt, pepper and sugar over each half.

2Combine bread crumbs and cheese; place equal amounts on each tomato half.

3Drizzle each tomato with butter and bake in oven at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes, until cheese melts.

4Remove from oven and serve.
