  • 4 c. fresh cranberries
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon peel

    Mash and drain cranberries.

    Turn into a 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with sugar and lemon peel.

    Bake, covered, at 325° for 35 minutes or until berries begin to burst.

    Stir well to dissolve sugar.
