- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1/2 c. boiling salt water
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
Directions

1Shred cabbage (course) and cook 9 minutes in boiling salt water.

2Remove cabbage.

3Drain well.

4Place in a buttered 1 1/2-quart dish.

5Melt butter; stir in flour until smooth.

6Add milk gradually.

7Continue stirring until it thickens.

8Pour over cabbage.

9Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top.

10Bake at 325° for 15 minutes or crumbs are brown.
