- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1/2 c. boiling salted water
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Shred cabbage very fine and cook 9 minutes in boiling salted water.

2Remove cabbage; drain well and place in buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.

3Melt butter in saucepan.

4Stir in flour and salt until smooth.

5Add milk gradually.

6Continue stirring until mixture thickens.

7Pour this sauce over cabbage and sprinkle with bread crumbs on top.

8Bake at 325° for about 15 minutes or until crumbs are browned.
