Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs (room temperature), beaten to blend
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter, melted
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- unsweetened whipped cream (garnish)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Beat sugar and eggs until mixture forms slowly dissolving ribbon when beaters are lifted.

3Sift flour and cocoa into mixture and blend well.

4Stir in melted butter, nuts and vanilla; do not overmix.

5Spread batter evenly in an 8 x 10-inch baking pan.

6Set into a larger pan; add enough boiling water to larger pan to come halfway up sides.

7Bake until fudge is firm and knife inserted in center comes out moist but clean, about 1 hour.

8Let cool.

9Cut into squares.

10Serve with whipped cream. Serves 8 to 10.
