- 1 (5 lb.) young groundhog
- 6 potatoes, sliced
- 6 carrots, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced or diced
- 2 stalks celery, sliced
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Clean groundhog good.

2Put in pot and bring to a boil; cook for 10 minutes. Turn head down, cook for 20 minutes more.

3Remove from pot.

4Put in a baking pan.

5Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or real tender.

6Add 1 cup of water from the pot to bake in.

7Add all ingredients 1/2 hour before groundhog is done.
