Baked Lasagna

  • 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 2 (16 oz.) jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna
  • 2 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    Brown meat; drain off fat.

    Add oregano and salt; simmer 5 minutes.

    Stir in spaghetti sauce and tomato paste.

    Cook 10 minutes.

    Boil lasagna in salted water for 5 minutes.

    Combine eggs, Ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley and pepper; blend well.

    Layer half the lasagna in greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Spread with 1/2 cheese mixture.

    Add 1/2 the Mozzarella cheese, then 1/2 the sauce mixture.

    Repeat the layers, ending with sauce on top.

    Bake 30 minutes in a 350° oven.
