- 1 lb. dried lima beans
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 lb. bacon
- 3 cans tomato soup
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 large onion, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Combine beans with garlic salt in large saucepan.

2Add enough water to cover.

3Let stand overnight; drain.

4Fry bacon in skillet until crisp.

5Remove bacon to paper towels to drain.

6Crumble. Add soup and brown sugar to bacon drippings in saucepan; mix well. Stir in onion, salt and pepper.

7Combine soup mixture and bacon with lima beans in baking dish.

8Bake at 300° for 3 to 4 hours or until beans are tender, stirring occasionally.

9May simmer on stove top if preferred.
