Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 1/4 c. hot water
  • 1 can mushroom soup

    Combine milk and crumbs.

    Add ground meats, onion, sugar, salt and egg.

    Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water and add to meat mixture; mix thoroughly.

    Shape into 24 meatballs in a shallow baking pan.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, then pour off drippings. Spread soup over meatballs and continue to bake for around 45 minutes.
