Baked Orzo

  • 6 small or 3 large onions, sliced
  • 3 to 4 large green peppers, chopped
  • 2 to 3 packets George Washington seasoning powder
  • 1 can French fried onion rings
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 pkg. orzo

Directions

    Saute onions and green peppers in the stick of butter.

    Cook the orzo al dente.

    Rinse orzo in cold water after cooking; place in casserole dish.

    Sprinkle seasoning powder over sauteed onions and peppers; gently stir in all but a few of the onion rings.

    Add this mixture to the orzo in the casserole dish; place remaining onion rings on top.

    Bake at 350° until hot clear through.

    May be frozen before baking.
