Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 12 cup half-and-half
  • 34 cup marinara sauce
  • 34 lb penne pasta
  • 14 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 12 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated (for topping)

Directions

    Boil 4 quarts of water.

    Heat large frying pan and add oil, beef, and garlic.

    Saute until meat is tender and drain excess fat.

    Add all remaining ingredients except the mozzarella and pasta.

    Simmer the mixture while pasta cooks in water until al dente.

    Drain pasta and mix it with the sauce.

    Pour all into a 3 quart baking dish and then top with mozzarella.

    Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until bubbly.
