- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 to 2 c. cooked long grain rice
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- ground nutmeg
Directions

1Combine first 5 ingredients.

2Stir in rice and raisins.

3Turn into 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.

4Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 30 minutes; stir.

5Sprinkle with nutmeg.

6Bake until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
