  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 28 oz. tomatoes & liquid, chopped
  • 4 oz. mushrooms, drained
  • 4 oz. sliced ripe olives
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 12 oz. spaghetti, cooked and drained
  • 2 c. (8 oz.) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese

    In a large skillet saute onions and peppers in butter until tender.

    Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, oregano and browned ground beef.

    Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.

    Place half of spaghetti in a greased 13 x

    9 inch baking dish.

    Top with half of the vegetable mixture, sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.

    Repeat layers. Mix soup and water until smooth; pour over casserole; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

    Bake uncovered at 350° for

    30 to 35 minutes or at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes or until heated through. If it starts too dry out to much add just a little hot water.
