Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 c. sour milk (add little vinegar to milk to sour)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. mashed bananas
- 2 eggs, unbeaten
- 1/3 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar together.

2Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour milk.

3Add mashed bananas and nuts.

4Pour into 2 loaf pans.

5Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until done.

6Cool 5 minutes and remove from pans.
