- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
- 2 c. milk, divided
- 3 small egg yolks, well beaten
- 1 tsp. firm butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 large ripe bananas
- 10x sugar (for sprinkling)
Directions

1Bake and cool pastry shell.

2Blend flour, sugar and salt in a heavy saucepan.

3Over low heat, slowly stir in one cup of milk until smooth.

4Add rest of milk.

5Stir until smooth and mixture thickens almost to a boil.

6This will take about 5 to 6 minutes.
