Banana Nut Bread

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)
  • 3 large or 4 small bananas
  • 1 c. ground or chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

    Measure and sift together flour, soda and salt.

    Cream margarine; add sugar.

    Add eggs and vanilla; stir until thoroughly mixed.

    Stir in mashed bananas.

    Fold in dry ingredients and nuts. Place in a well-greased bread pan (2) or 4 small bread pans. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes.
