- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. shortening
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. nuts
- 3 mashed bananas
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- butter for topping
- maple syrup for topping
Directions

1Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl. Add eggs, butter and milk; beat until smooth and creamy; set aside.

2If using an electric skillet, preheat to 350°.

3Preheat lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium heat until a few drops of water dance on the surface.

4For each pancake, pour 1/4 cup batter onto hot griddle and cook on first side until bubbles that form begin to pop and edges look dry.

5With a spatula, turn and cook until second side is a rich, golden brown.

6Serve at once with butter and syrup.
