- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 tsp. almond extract
- 4 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 6 ripe bananas
- 2 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Cream first 4 ingredients.

2Beat, adding eggs one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.

3Add bananas.

4Beat until all are combined.

5Stir in pecans.

6Bake in 3 bread loaf pans (greased and floured) for one hour and thirty minutes at 325°.
