Banana Split Cake

  • 2 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 3 sticks margarine or butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 large or 5 medium bananas
  • 12 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 20 oz. can cherry pie filling
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. maraschino cherries
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple

Directions

    Melt 1 1/4 sticks of butter or margarine and mix with cracker crumbs.

    Spread and press in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.

    Beat on high speed 1 3/4 sticks of butter or margarine, powdered sugar, vanilla and eggs until thick and creamy like pudding.

    Spread evenly on crumb crust.

    Slice bananas and lay on this mixture.

    Spread pie filling over bananas.

    Drain pineapple well and spread evenly over pie filling.

    Top with Cool Whip.

    Sprinkle nuts and chopped maraschino cherries on top.
