Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks melted butter or margarine
  • 3 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter, softened
  • 2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 pt. whipped cream or 12 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • sliced cherries (optional)
  • 6 to 7 bananas
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained

Directions

    Mix crumbs and melted butter; press in 9 x 12-inch oblong pan for crust.

    Place butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in mixing bowl; beat 20 minutes at high speed.

    Spread on crust.

    Slice bananas, dip in pineapple juice and arrange on batter.

    Spread pineapple on top of bananas.

    Chill overnight.

    Next day, spread Cool Whip, sprinkle nuts and add cherries.
