Banana Split Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick melted margarine
  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 3 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
  • 3 or 4 sliced bananas
  • 1 large carton Cool Whip
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans or other nuts
  • 1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries

    Combine graham cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted margarine. Press on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Beat together 3 sticks margarine, powdered sugar and eggs for 15 minutes.

    Spread this mixture over graham cracker mixture.

    Drain well the crushed pineapple and layer over mixture.

    Layer sliced bananas over pineapple.

    Layer Cool Whip.

    Sprinkle chopped pecans or other nuts and chopped maraschino cherries over Cool Whip.

    Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
