  • 1 13/16 cups graham crackers
  • 5 1/4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 4 egg whites very cold
  • salt
  • 7/8 cup powdered sugar
  • 15 ounces dulce de leche
  • 3 bananas sliced into rounds

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

    Put the graham crackers in a food processor and grind them while adding in the melted butter until it forms a ball.

    Pour this mixture out into a 21 centimeter pie pan and press into the bottom and sides. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

    Separately, in a bowl add the egg whites and a pinch of salt. Whisk them into soft peaks. Then start adding the powdered sugar little by little while continuously whisking. The eggs should end up stiff and shiny. Set aside.

    Pour the can of dulce de leche into the bottom of the pie pan, cover with banana slices, then the egg white mixture.

    Bake just until the meringue turns golden.

    Refrigerate and serve cold.
