- 1 whole chicken
- 3 tablespoons dark barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions

1Clean the chicken and pat dry with paper towel.

2Truss chicken wings and legs securely with wetted string and place the chicken in a shallow nonmetallic dish.

3Mix all ingredients and brush over chicken skin.

4Cover dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

5Drain,reserving marinade.

6Preheat a barbecue,then brush lightly with the remaining oil.

7Grill chicken for 60 minutes until golden and tender, brushing with reserved marinade and turning chicken during cooking.

8Test the chicken by piercing the thickest part with a skewer,chicken is cooked if the juice run clear.

9Remove from heat and serve hot.
