Barbecue Pork (Beef)

  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 to 5 lb. Boston butt (beef roast)
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 bottle favorite barbecue sauce (hickory flavor better on beef)
  • miscellaneous spices (oregano, basil, garlic, etc.)

    Place roast in crock-pot.

    Add onion, sprinkles of spices and water.

    Cook on low overnight.

    Separate bone and fat; mince meat. Clean pot and replace meat.

    Add bottle of barbecue sauce and cook on low for 8 hours more.

    Stir 2 to 3 times while cooking. Serve on hamburger buns.
