- 6 to 8 quail
- 2 c. tomato juice
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- deep fat
- red pepper
- black pepper
- salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1Split quail down back and brown in deep fat.

2Pour off all fat and pour the following sauce over them.

3Cook slowly for about 2 hours, basting frequently with the sauce.
