- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda healthy pinch salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/8 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 Tbsp. lowfat milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

2Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3Sift the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt into a bowl.

4Rub in the butter till the mix resembles fine bread crumbs.

5Stir in the sugar and sufficient lowfat milk to mix to a soft dough.

6Turn onto a floured surface, knead lightly and roll out to a 3/4 inch thickness.

7Cut into 2 inch rounds and place on the prepared baking sheet.

8Brush with lowfat milk to glaze.

9Bake at 425 degrees for 10 min; cold on a wire rack.

10Serve with butter or possibly clotted cream and jam.
