- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. self-rising soft wheat flour (White Lily)
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- butter or margarine, melted
Directions

1Cut 1/3 cup butter into flour with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.

2Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.

3Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface; knead 3 to 4 times.

4Roll to 3/4-inch thickness.

5Cut with 2 1/2-inch round cutter and place on a baking sheet.

6Bake biscuits at 425° for 12 to 14 minutes.

7Brush with melted butter. Yield:
