- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 3 to 5 Tbsp. chili powder
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
Directions

1In a 5-quart Dutch oven, brown beef.

2Add onions and garlic. Cook until onions are transparent.

3Add herbs, salt, tomatoes, sauce and chili powder.

4Simmer about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

5Blend flour and water and add to mixture.

6Stir well and cook 20 minutes.

7Add beans and seasonings.
