Basic Homemade Potato Chips

  • 4 whole Baking Potatoes, Or Any Other Kind You Like
  • 6 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Salt

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray large baking sheets with cooking spray.

    Set aside.

    Wash and dry potatoes, then cut crosswise into slices as thin as possible.

    Put slices in a large bowl.

    Add the olive oil, enough to coat the potato slices, and toss until coated thoroughly.

    Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

    (The salt can be omitted in favor of the pepper, or vice versa, depending on your preference.)

    Arrange slices in a single layer on prepared baking sheets.

    Bake for 15 minutes, then turn slices over.

    Continue baking for 10-15 minutes until potatoes are golden brown.

    Remove from the oven and cool on baking sheets.

    (You can also add another dash of salt or pepper after removing the chips from the oven, or even squirt a little lemon or lime juice over them.)
