- 5 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 c. margarine or butter
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Blend sugar and baking powder with the flour with a wire whisk.

2Put on a pastry board; make a well in the center of the flour mixture.

3Break the eggs into the center and add the vanilla.

4Knead the dough well for 5 minutes until it is smooth, adding a little flour if the dough seems too sticky and soft. Pinch off bits of dough about the size of a small apricot and form into desired shape (rings or strips).

5Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake in a hot 450° oven for 10 minutes or less until golden.

6Watch carefully, because they brown easily! Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
