  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil

Directions

    Make the mayonnaise: In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolk, lemon juice, mustard, and salt.

    While whisking, add the oil in a very thin continuous stream until all oil is incorporated.
