  • 6 whole Dry New Mexico Chile Peppers
  • 3 whole Chile De Arbol Pepper
  • 6 pieces Tomatillos
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1/4 pieces Onion
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 pinch Cumin
  • 1 piece Whole Cloves
  • 1 clove Garlic

Directions

    Wash chiles, remove stems and seeds, remove the husk off the tomatillos and wash (they tend to have a sticky skin).

    Into a large pot place the water, chile peppers, tomatillos and bring to a boil.

    Then reduce heat and cook for an additional 20 minutes.

    Remove items from pot and place in blender along with onion, salt, cumin, whole clove and garlic.

    Puree until smooth consistency (add water from pot if the sauce seems too thick).

    This sauce is great and can be used for many dishes.
