Basic Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. dry yeast
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 6 to 8 c. whole wheat flour
- 3 Tbsp. oil
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 2 cups water.

2Mix in salt, 1 tablespoon honey and 4 cups whole wheat flour until smooth.

3Keep warm until light and bubbly, about 45 minutes.

4Add 1/2 cup hot water, oil, 1 tablespoon honey and remaining flour.

5Knead for 10 minutes.

6Keep covered in a warm place until double in size, about 1 hour.

7Punch down and form 2 loaves.

8Let raise in nonstick loaf pans until double in size.

9Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

10Cool and slice. Makes 2 loaves.
