Basic Yellow Cake

Directions

   Cream margarine and Crisco.

   Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Cream well.

   Add 1/2 flour and 1/2 milk.

   Beat at low speed until well blended.

   Add eggs, one at a time.

   Beat at high speed after each addition.

   Add other 1/2 flour with baking powder and other 1/2 milk.

   Beat at low speed until well blended.

   Bake in three layers at 350° for 20 minutes.
