- 3-58 ounces, weight Plain Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt To Taste
- 1-78 ounces, weight Butter, Chilled
- 1/2 whole Egg Yolk
- 3 tablespoons, 1 teaspoon, 2-13 pinches Water Cooled
- 1/2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1/2 teaspoons Garlic, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Red Onion, Chopped
- 1-78 ounces, weight Smoked Salmon, Crumbled
- 1 ounces, weight Mashed Potatoes
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt To Taste
- 1/2 whole Egg
- 1-78 ounces, weight Potato, Peel And Boil
- 1 ounces, weight Butter
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 18 teaspoons White Pepper
- 1 drop Food Colouring
Directions

1Sift the flour.

2Place the flour and salt in a large bowl.

3Mix.

4Rub the butter into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

5Next add approximately 1/2 of the egg yolk and the water.

6Mix well your hands.

7Try to work quickly.

8Wrap the dough and chill for 10 -15 minutes.

9Now take the dough and roll out into a 12 inch square that is about 1/8 inch thick, using a rolling pin.

10Cut it into a round shape (diameter 2 inch) using a pastry cutter or cookie cutter.

11Put the pastry rounds into the greased mould (use butter or coking spray) and make sure the dough goes up the sides as well.Then trim off the excess pastry.

12Prick the base with a fork to prevent air bubbles.

13In a pan heat 1/2 table spoon olive oil over medium high heat add garlic and mix.

14Next add onion, salmon, and mashed potatoes.

15Mix until onion is softened and everything is heated through.

16Add pepper and salt.
-
17Mix well.

18Place your prepared filling in the pastry and beat the 1/2 egg.

19Brush the egg over the filling.

20Bake about 20 minutes at 200 c degrees or until the crust is golden brown.

21Remove from oven and let cool.

22After that decorate with colored mashed potatoes.

23Take a potato.

24Peel and boil it until fork tender.

25Drain the water.

26Squash it.

27Add butter salt, white pepper and food coloring.

28Mix well.

29Put into a piping bag and pipe it on top of the filling, as Ive done in the photo above.

30The basket handle was made out of pastry dough.

31You can do this with the extra scraps of dough if you want.

32Serve and enjoy.
