Basmati Rice With Lemon And Thyme Recipe

  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c. basmati rice
  • 1/2 med lemon
  • 1 Tbsp. minced fresh thyme
  • 1 pch freshly-grnd white pepper

    In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil.

    Add in the salt and basmati rice.

    Grate the rind from the lemon and add in it to the rice.

    Squeeze the juice from the lemon into the rice.

    Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.

    Cover the pot tightly and cook for 20 to 25 min, or possibly till the rice is tender.

    Add in the thyme and season with white pepper.
