Basmati Rice With Lemon And Thyme Recipe

- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 c. basmati rice
- 1/2 med lemon
- 1 Tbsp. minced fresh thyme
- 1 pch freshly-grnd white pepper
Directions

1In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil.

2Add in the salt and basmati rice.

3Grate the rind from the lemon and add in it to the rice.

4Squeeze the juice from the lemon into the rice.

5Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.

6Cover the pot tightly and cook for 20 to 25 min, or possibly till the rice is tender.

7Add in the thyme and season with white pepper.
