  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) oleo
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 c. unsifted flour (about)

    Scald milk; stir

    oleo. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm

    water into large bowl.

    Crumble yeast; stir until dissolved.

    Add lukewarm milk mixture, egg (beaten) and 2 cups flour.

    Beat until smooth; stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft

    Cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk,

    about 30 minutes. Punch down and shape into 2 dozen rolls.
