- 1 c. corn meal
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 heaping tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. milk (approximately)
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 1 c. boiling water (approximately)
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 Tbsp. melted lard
Directions

1Mix meal, salt and baking powder.

2Add egg, beaten lightly, sweet milk and enough boiling water to make a very thin batter. Add butter and lard.

3Put in well-greased baking dish; cook for 30 to 40 minutes in moderate oven (375°).

4Serves 6.
