  • 6 tart apples, cored & quartered
  • 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar

Directions
