Bean Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lean hamburg
  • 1/2 lb. bacon (each strip cut into 8 pieces)
  • 32 oz. can pork and beans
  • 15 oz. can kidney beans, drained
  • 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 15 oz. can green limas, drained
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. catsup

Directions

    Brown the hamburg, stirring often to break into fine chunks, with the onion.

    When thoroughly cooked, drain off grease and set aside.

    Cut bacon and fry slowly until semi-crisp.

    Drain off grease.

    Don't use the grease.

    Mix the remaining ingredients. Bake at 325° to 350° for 1 1/2 hours.

    Can be microwaved.

    Put the casserole in a round covered dish.

    Cook for 20 minutes, stirring at 15, 10 and 5 minutes.
