- 1 lb. navy beans
- 1 c. chopped carrots
- 1 c. cubed potatoes
- 1 ham bone
- 3 qt. water
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Rinse and sort beans; cover with water and heat to boiling; boil uncovered for 2 minutes.

2Remove from heat and let stand 1 hour.

3Add all other ingredients and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

4Add more water if needed.
