  • 1 lb. pkg. Great Northern or dried soup beans
  • ham bone and pieces of ham left on bone
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • parsley

Directions

    Add enough water to cover plus 3 inches over.

    Cook about 4 hours.

    Watch in case it needs more water.

    Take ham bone and celery stalks out and skim fat.

    Add tomatoes and parsley. Continue to cook a few more hours.
