  • 10 pound beef brisket
  • 1 1/2 cups catsup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon cream style prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Dash of cayenne or chile powder
  • 1/2 cups liquid smoke (colgin)
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except salt and brisket. Pour over brisket in non-metalic dish. Cover and refrigerate over night or several hours. Add salt, cover, bake at 300 degrees for 6 to 7 hours. Baste or turn over several times while cooking. Skim fat off. Several hours before baking is finished, slice meat and put back in pan to finish baking.
