  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 10 oz. pkg. chopped broccoli
  • 4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, sliced
  • pastry for two crust pie

Directions

    In skillet, brown beef and onions.

    Drain fat.

    Stir in flour, salt and garlic salt.

    Add milk and softened cheese.

    Cook and stir until smooth and bubbly. Stir 1 cup of hot mixture into beaten egg, return to mixture in skillet.

    Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened (1 to 2 minutes).

    Stir in cooked broccoli; set aside.

    Prepare pastry.

    Spoon mixture in bottom crust.

    Arrange cheese slices on top.

    Cover with remaining crust.

    Cut slashes on top and brush with milk.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
