- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. dry red wine
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
Directions

1Cut meat in small portions.

2Combine flour, salt and pepper. Coat meat pieces and brown in hot oil in skillet.

3Drain excess fat.

4Add wine, water and undrained mushrooms, onion and parsley. Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours until tender.

5Add enough water to make 1 1/4 cups liquid.

6Blend cornstarch in 1/4 cup water.

7Stir in and cook until thickened.

8Serve with rice or noodles.
