- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak, cubed
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1/2 c. dry red wine
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 small can mushrooms (optional)
Directions

1Put cubed beef in casserole dish.

2It is not necessary to brown beef first.

3Mix soup, water, onion soup mix and mushrooms; pour over uncooked beef.

4Cover; bake for 3 hours at 300°.

5Serve over rice or noodles.

6May be made 1 day ahead and reheated.
