Beef-Cabbage Bake

- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 2 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 6 to 8 c. chopped cabbage
- 30 oz. chopped tomatoes
- salt, pepper, Italian seasoning or basil (if desired)
Directions

1Cook rice in boiling water for 20 minutes, until the rice is tender.

2Cook ground beef and onions until the onions are tender and the meat is no longer pink; drain off the fat.

3Combine cooked and drained rice and ground meat mixture with Worcestershire sauce and seasoned salt.

4Butter a 3-quart casserole.

5Place 1/2 of the chopped cabbage for the first layer.

6Pour 1/3 of the tomatoes over cabbage.

7Next, place meat mixture and the rest of the cabbage.

8Press down some and add the rest of the tomatoes.

9You may sprinkle salt, pepper, Italian seasoning or basil if you desire.

10Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
