- 1 lb. beef, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 c. Burgundy wine
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can undiluted consomme
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. sifted flour
- noodles or rice
Directions

1Combine all ingredients except noodles or rice.

2Place in casserole dish.

3Cover and bake at 300° about 3 hours, or until beef is tender.

4Serve on the noodles or rice.
