  • 1 lb. beef, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 c. Burgundy wine
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can undiluted consomme
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • noodles or rice

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except noodles or rice.

    Cover and bake at 300° about 3 hours, or until beef is tender.
