Beef Chowder

- 3/4 c. rice
- 8 c. beef stock
- 1 oz. noodles
- 4 tsp. oil
- 2 slices fresh ginger
- 1/2 lb. minced steak
- few drops sesame oil
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- salt and pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- scallions, chopped
Directions

1Cook the rice in the beef stock for 2 hours.

2Fry the noodles in the oil for a few seconds, then remove.

3Finely chop the ginger and add with the meat to the rice.

4Cook for about 15 minutes. Stir sesame oil, soy sauce and salt and pepper to taste.

5Put some noodles and a little egg in each soup bowl.

6Pour the chowder over and garnish with chopped scallions.
