Beef Hash Over Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) can roast beef with gravy, shred beef with fork
  • 1 medium chopped onion or dry onion powder or dry onion soup
  • 1 (14 or 16 oz.) can tomatoes, mashed with fork to look like stewed
  • 1 pkg. Sweet 'N Low or 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 slice bread or cold biscuit

Directions

    Simmer together about 15 minutes (until onion is cooked) in a frying pan.

    Add 1 package Sweet 'N Low (or 1 teaspoon sugar). Add seasoning to taste (salt, pepper and herbs).

    Add 1 slice of bread (or cold biscuit, etc.).

    Crumble finely and stir to thicken hash.

    If too thick, add small amount of water. Serve over hot buttered rice.
